Welcome to my page where I share my thoughts on films from a point of view like no other. For years I have studied film, what it takes to make one, and most importantly what makes a film worth seeing. I have worked on movie sets, acted in several independent films, and started reviewing films in 2019. My goal is simply to either persuade you to see a movie or tell you wait for it to go to Netflix.
Yes, this is Lance, the Lance from “Lancereviews”! Don’t be so starstruck, I’m just like you, another movie buff looking for some insight before they donate 90 minutes or more of their life to a story from someone’s mind. It’s just another form of communication us film people developed as we made our intangible ideas tangible. As people we cry for communication, the airplane and telephone are examples of that yearning we have to reach one another. Here, I welcome you into my mind and invite you to watch films with me. We will be on the everlasting search for the perfect film, components such as story, acting, directing, cinematography, score, and more tune us into the world of debating if a film is worth watching. And of course, the emotional element of if it reaches you as a person and gives you that good ol, movie feeling, you know the one where it makes you excited to actually go to the theaters and buy the large popcorn and soda with the candy. Anyway, I am a Queens, NY native known for my acting and taste in movies. Ever since I can remember, I've wanted nothing else but to be apart of the big screen and the work that goes into it. I wish for all things I can imagine and all stories I can tell to one day be tangible, for the creative adult is the child who survived. Be on the lookout for films I am involved in as well either in front or behind the camera, you never know where I’ll strike. And yes, I do have a beautiful script in the works as well as a book if you’re into my writing style.
